Due to spoilage concerns during shipment, please select 2nd day air for all orders containing Greek cheese. Also, please note: Orders containing cheese placed after 8am on Wednesdays will ship the following Monday to ensure the cheese does not sit in a shipping warehouse over the weekend. We can make exceptions if needed. Please call us at 800-755-8067 or contact us if you have any questions. Thanks!

Kasseri is a creamy, yellow-gold colored Greek cheese. It has a mild, buttery taste with a hint of olive flavor. This cheese is waxy when refrigerated and it becomes oily when it reaches room temperature. Due to it's high melting point, Kasseri remains solid when heated and it is usually grilled or fried in olive oil. It is delicious plain or sauteed as in the Greek dish saganaki.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Matis Kasseri Cheese

While I have been indulging in this type of cheese for years, I have got to say that I was not prepared for the kind of service I received from the Greek Internet market. From the e-mail making sure that I understand the temperature requirements for this shipment, to the care of getting the items expedite and last but not least the unbelievable care in shipping container (an actual reusable lunch box). This is by far the best place I shopped. Thank You Guys

We've tried a couple different brands of Kasseri and Matis is the best. Great cheese for sandwiches and salad, or all by itself.

This cheese is very good and melts a lot when cooked. If your looking for saganiki Kefalotiri is the cheese. This cheese (kasseri) is good cooked or on a sandwich or in a salad... I enjoyed it.
