I've always been proud to call Liz my Grandmother-in-law. When I first met Liz and had her Vasilopita bread and her greek salad I was in love...with her! I have to admit it was the fabulous dishes she prepared that convinced me to marry her grandson. Four kids later and now stationed at another Base, holidays are just not the same without her wonderful meals. They are deliciously addicting!

My sister and I made the baklava, spanakopeta and the appetizer meatballs together for our Bunco group. The recipes were extremely easy to follow, thank you so much for that! The girls said that we raised the bar for our get-togethers. The next person that hosts will have to come up with something really good to beat what we made!
My husband absolutely loved the baklava! I think that says alot because I know it doesn't come close to yours but you made the recipe so easy to follow that you would never know it was our first attempt! I can't wait to try everything in the book!!

When I first saw Liz Lazarides White's cookbook, "OPA", it was sitting on the kitchen counter in my parents' home. I was jealously thinking, "Wow, someone has a great Greek cookbook", and that was just because of the beauty of the cover picture. Then I found out it was a gift for me! I tore through the pages, soaking up the ingredients, salivating over the photos, promising to cook a meal from the cookbook as soon as I got home. The next week, I made "Marinated Chicken Drummettes"
(with chicken legs for the dinner meal), "Oven Roasted Potatoes with Horseradish Sauce" and "My Greek Salad". The aroma of the meal alone nearly brought my neighbors to see what new dishes
I had made. My family and I enjoyed one of the best meals that I have made in a long time-and I love to cook! Liz' book "Opa", has given me great new recipes to make and enjoy. Make the "Greek Spanakopeta"-it is better than any I have had before - and that includes the kind I had while in Greece! Thank you Liz, for bringing your special touch with food into my home and heart. Sincerely, Pam Ward, New Market MD

could go on!!) Liz is such a great person and I am very happy for her as she deserves the best.

Great book with wonderful recipes. Photography in the book is outstanding and the recipes are to die for. My wife used it this week and she loved it, as she is a Home Economics teacher in high school. I should also mention that I have enjoyed many of the recipes in the book, cooked by Liz herself. She cooks and feeds around 100 people for seven days twice a year in our furniture showroom. We have customers who come and eat with us just for her cooking. Many went home with her book this past market and could not have been more excited to have received it. You will love the recipes. Go ahead, buy it, and you will enjoy it for years to come.

I recently immigrated from New Zealand to Australia to be with a wonderful Greek man. Being a good Kiwi girl I had no idea how to cook anything Greek. Thanks to Liz and her wonderful cookbook I have learned lots of new recipes and wonderful food that even an amateur in the kitchen like me can follow. Thanks so much Liz. I am eagerly waiting the second edition.

OPA cookbook is AMAZING.......not only beautiful but delicious. I was raised on Liz's cooking (she's my mom!!) and can honestly say her food is better than any restaurant I have ever been to. Once you eat her Greek salad you'll never go back to a restaurant's "so called" Greek salad. I hope you will enjoy the book as well as we have enjoyed her cooking our entire life!!

Opa is written so that anyone can cook Greek dishes. I've always loved Greek foods but was afraid to try to cook them myself. Opa makes it simple with a personal touch. Thanks Liz for opening a new way for me.

I have always been proud to say my Grandmother is not only a brilliant woman and cook, but my best friend as well; this cookbook only confirms those sentiments! To be totally honest, I initially urged my YiaYia not to publish a book consisting of all our sacred family recipes, for it would be immoral (on a familial level) of her to share our "legacy" with the rest of the world! Disregarding my dismay in the matter, she did so anyway and I have to admit, regardless of the fact that I am a firm believer in keeping family tradition sacred, I am now an advocate for this cookbook and am very fulfilled in knowing that our "legacy" is being shared in such a magnificient way! I am also so very proud of her courage, hard-work, commitment and dedication to such a profound publication as will you be upon your purchase. I give the book *Infinity Stars* and urge anyone who has yet to obtain a copy to do so immediately!!
