Tahini Cake
Greek tahini cake recipe
3 ½ cups self-rising flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
½ cup coarsely chopped walnuts
½ cup raisins
½ cup black currant raisins
1 cup tahini
½ cup orange flavored water
½ cup orange juice
½ cup Attiki honey
½ cup sugar
½ tsp vanilla
4 Tbs brandy
12 inch round stainless steel pan

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, soda, cream of tartar, cinnamon and cloves in bowl. Mix in walnuts and raisins. Blend tahini, orange juice, orange flavored water, honey and sugar for 2-3 minutes in blender. Pour the mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until well blended. Spread the mix on a well-greased 12-inch round cake pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Cool and then turn cake unto serving dish and sprinkle with brandy. Decorate with powdered sugar and keep moist in an air proof container.
